Let's be honest here.
Everyone dreams about being a millionaire, but generally speaking, it's not going to happen. It may be more possible now than it was fifty, twenty, maybe even ten years ago, but millionaires are still in the minority.
Look at me, for instance. I'm 26, soon to be 27, never finished college, and for that matter, I'll probably never have anything that much better than your basic day to day job, if even that with the job market the way it is.
But, you know, I still wish I could be rich one day. Why? Mostly so I can relax, and have my moments of eccentricity. After all, one has to have money to be eccentric - otherwise, you're just a nut.
My wife would probably be a lot happier if we weren't always worried about bills all the time, too.
So, I had to wonder - would people at large be willing to donate to a cause that may not be noble, but is, at the very least, honest? I want to be a millionaire. That's where this site comes in.
You'll notice there's only a couple things of note here - there are Paypal donation buttons, and a meter. That meter shows how close I, your average guy, have gotten to becoming a millionaire. The bar is 40 pixels tall by 500 pixels across. This amounts to one pixel equaling $50 in US Dollars, and each column of pixels amounting to $2000. In all, there are 20,000 pixels, which, when full, will equal $1,000,000.
Also, I will be setting monetary milestones along the way. Each time one is hit, I'll update this page here to celebrate.
What I ask from you? Do whatever you'd like. Donate a little, donate a lot, donate once, donate a hundred times, or, don't donate at all... It's your choice. Maybe tell your friends.
I want to be a millionaire, but, maybe even more than that, I want to know... Is what I'm trying even possible?
